Smoky Eye - Updated for the Season!
Glamorous, sultry, smoky...but how do you actually do it?

| Glam but not over the top! |
Nothing says glamour like the smoky eye – but too often that is represented as a whole lot of black and grey using a very heavy hand. This can make some of us (ahem) more mature women wonder how we would pull that off without looking like we were trying to be something we no longer are….20 years old!
So, for help pumping up the glamour, and adding some glitz for the season, while still keeping the look appropriate for more of us, we turned to our own Ashley B. (from our Kirkland location).
We used Glo Minerals Make-Up (carried at Sorella of course) to achieve this look.
Glo products used: Coffee eye trio, ebony and espresso cream eyeliner's. Application: 1) Using an eyeliner brush, cream eyeliner in Ebony was applied close to the base of the top and bottom lashes, then softly blended to create a smoky, diffused line. 2) Using the matte coffee brown eye-shadow in the Coffee Eye Trio, take a small eye-shadow brush and place color over the top of the smoky line just created and blend color up to the eye's natural crease, keeping the shape round. Softly place the same brown shadow along the bottom lash line as well. Only take the brown to about the tear duct, so the inner corner of the eye stays light. 3) Using the gold tone from the trio, now place shadow in the inner corner of the eye, and blend softly into the middle to create that Holiday sparkle! By also placing this tone in the tear duct area, it adds a beautiful, youthful glow. 4) Now take more Ebony cream liner or Espresso (use black, for more drama) and go back over your first line created in step 1 to add even more depth, staying very close to the base of the lashes. 5) Using the lightest matte flesh tone in the trio, place this color under the brow bone to accentuate brow shape and to finish your look. 6) Curl lashes then apply 2 coats of black mascara, and you’re done!
Still not sure how to get the look? You can always come see us at Sorella and we will do it for you, or book a make-up appointment and learn to do it for yourself. We hope these tips will help you feel glam for the holidays!
